For over 50 years Airtronics has been a brand recognized for excellence in avionics repair and installations.  Airtronics Inc. carries on the brand and service excellence with operations including, an FAA Certificated Repair Station #TH3R867L, January 2015, Airtronics Inc. opened the FBO “Gold Wing Aviation”, at Jackson Westover Filed (KJAQ), in Jackson, CA.  Gold Wing Aviation provides FAA part 91 general aircraft maintenance, aircraft sales, rental, and refueling.

It all began as R & B Airtronics in Oxnard, CA over 50 years ago with Ron and his wife Betty.  In 1983 Ron and Betty retired, and James M Lewis bought the avionics shop.  The R and B were dropped from the name Airtronics.  Shortly after the purchase Mr. Lewis opened a satellite facility at the Camarillo Airport.  In 1997 Mr. Lewis relocated both the Oxnard, and Camarillo shops to one facility at the Reno / Tahoe International Airport, Reno NV (KRNO).

In 2009 and Airtronics expanding its markets the Airtronics brand was carried into the formation of Airtronics Inc., a corporation formed under the laws of the State of Wyoming. Airtronics Inc. opened at the Calaveras County Airport (KCPU) in San Andreas,  CA.  Airtronics Inc expanded its market and services January, 2015 by opening the FBO “Gold Wing Aviation” at Jackson Westover Field (KJAQ), in Jackson,  CA.  Gold Wing Aviation is the FBO (The Fixed Base Operator) for FAR Part 91 general aircraft maintenance, aircraft sales, rental and refueling.

Due to demand for quality avionics repair, and installations the Avionics FAA Repair Station moved from KCPU to the Gold Wing Aviation FBO, at Jackson Westover Field.  Hanger and Ramp space was doubled to accommodate the move.  Airtronics Inc. has put Jackson Westover Field on the map as the most popular destination for avionics upgrades and repairs in California.
